There is a safari park (Casela) nearby (short trip via local buses) which is unbelievable. This has to be one of the most tranquil populated places on this planet. A perfect blend of fine dining and tasty big portions. You will want to try most of the restaurants here since they are so good. The restaurants like Chez Pepe, Le Bougainville and Le Bois Noire serve delicious food influenced by French, Indian, Italian, Asian and seafood cuisine. The locals are extremely nice, the food is amazing and if you need a place to stay, you cannot go wrong with Seastar Hotel. The sky turns pink, it overwhelms you with beauty. We've been to Santorini this June and the sunsets in Mauritius blow even those away (although both are amazing). The beach is one of the biggest I've seen but it's all-natural and semi-wild, the ocean is mesmerizing and the sunsets are unreal. Mauritius, in general, does not work like that. The beachside is filled with restaurants but not in the European sense where everyone is renting sunbeds that clutter the beach. We will truly treasure our time in Mauritius & Maradiva, and will wholeheartedly recommend choosing Maradiva if you want an exceptional experience.įlic en Flac is one of many villages in Mauritius. Aqeel, Nitish, Pritila, Yeshta, and many others have made the whole experience beyond memorable. Suffice to say this was a decadent experience, but the true gems of Maradiva are the staff who work tirelessly to look after the guests as if they are their own family members visiting them. We had an absolutely amazing time in Maradiva- we were given complimentary Raj tent dining by the beach and a spa treatment for our honeymoon. There is also a lovely spa with heated pool, and gym. There are three restaurants to choose from- each exquisite in their own way and any request catered for. The beach was mere seconds away (very well-kept, never crowded with well spaced sun loungers, and helpful staff who check on your comfort and provide drinks and snacks). The villa is serviced twice a day, with turn down service. It was a unique stay, where we had our own beautiful villa and pool, with luxurious amenities. However, Maradiva far exceed expectations of what a resort should be. We were a little apprehensive about staying in a resort as this isn't our usual type of preferred accommodation. We stayed in Maradiva for 8 days for our honeymoon. Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa, member of Leading Hotels of the World, is an exclusive haven of luxury spread over 27 scenic acres and 2461 ft of pristine beach.
